I have a 1996 ranger, which I have replaced the master cyclinder, which I benched Bleed,I also replaced both front calipers and rear cylinders, But i still have no brake pedal, I have bleed the system over and over again with no luck,
someone said I needed to centralize the pressure differential value, but I'm not sure what they mean or if that will help
looking for any help i can get
Thanks
If you have RABS, there is no pressure differential valve, just a proportioning valve of sorts that is integrated into the RABS module. Unlike most Ford passenger cars, Rangers don't have a split braking system. It routes full pressure to both the front and rear brakes, except that the hydraulic pressure going to the rear brakes has to act against the spring in the shuttle valve in the RABS module before any pressure is applied to the rear brake cylinders. It is kind of a screwed up system if you ask me.
My guess is that there is air trapped in the RABS or 4 wheel ABS module. Usually you have to pressure bleed those things to get all the air out.
