Sub Zero Tranny Leak
Have a 2001 Excursion 4x4 with 34,000 miles, have had transmission fluid leaks at front seal on sub-zero days only. When temperatures are above zero, no problem. When starting in extreme cold, transmission makes noise like dry run power steering pump for about 45 seconds. This is when the leak shows up on the ground. Once up to operating temperature it stops. Have had transmission serviced at local Ford dealer and they have no answer for the problem. Has anyone else had this problem, and what is needed to correct it?
