Brake Help Please!!!

I have a '94 F150 XLT 5.0 and i 'm having problems with the brakes...thir making a grinding sound when i slow down (20-25 mph) and everything checks out good (roters, pads, shoes) i just replace the brake pads a few months ago, i heard that some of the cardon metallic brake pads can make them sqeal but could a cretain type of pad also be causing this grinding sound??? I'm stumped and need all the info i can get.

Did you check the rear drums? The pads in there might be shot.

I have had rear drums make noise if there was too much brake dust in them. Take em off, dump the dust out and put them back on, bingo, noise gone. That is noise is gone if the dust is the only problem.

My truck used to have the same problem. Turned out I had a sticky caliper, and a warped rotor as well (that was obvious though) Check to see that the slides on your calipers move freely. If they don't, take them out and see what kind of shape they are in. If they are just dry, put some lithiu, grease on them, but if they've gotten rusty, you need new calipers.
