suspension lowering tips

if i may ask, why in the world would you lower a heavy duty truck like that?? why not find an F-100 or F-150 for a project like that...that SCS is meant to haul a heavy load and sit tall doing it......not trying to sound rude, just wondering......

I Suspect you could adapt and 73-79 2wd F series lowering kit to this truck. Your truck will not have the load carrying capacity, but you already said that is not important. Also your leaf springs may be wider than 1/2 tons so the shackles may not work.
