Extra Dome Lighting

Id like to wire some type of lighting under the dash in front of both the passenger and driver side seats. I was thinking about blue lights with my black exterior. I need some advice as to how to wire it so that it is controlled like the dome lighting(when the doors are opened or the keyless entry is used) ANy suggestions or help. I was thinking small neon strips from a local auto store.

The best way is to pull the current dome light down and wire into the existing connections. You will have to run the wires behind the head liner and then down the a-pillar. If you want to do it right, run the wires to a 12V relay. When the light turns on, it will switch the relay and then you can operate the lights without pulling to much current on the dome light circuit.

If you search a little more and get a wiring diagram, you could find the wires under the dash and splice in there. Easiest place to find it should be near the headlight switch.

The dome lighting comes from the central junction box (located in r/h kick panel at lower sidewall) via a black w/ light blue stripe wire.
