bigger wheels?

would it be too much of a jump to go from a 15 in rim to say something like a 17 or 18 inch rim.

I am not familiar with how backspacing causes issues, but if it helps the wheels will be going on a 96 F-150.

You can go with larger dia wheels no problem, as long as the backspacing is similar to the stock wheels and the tires you go with have shorter sidewalls so the overall tire diameter is similar to the stock tires. Stock tire dia is about 29". Too much backspacing can cause rubbing issues with suspension parts, like radius arms or leaf springs. Too little puts the tire too far out of the wheel well.

i will be lifting the truck and putting 35'' tires on it so how big could i go and how much difference can there be in the spacing before issues arise

You can go up to as large of a rim as you would like and as offered for a 35" tire. Im sure they have some 18" or 20" rim for some 35" tire, bu tI dont know.

The only problems that you could run into are long term axle problems, like premature bearing failure due to the added weight of the larger rims.

Eagle Alloy's has some pretty sweet ones, so does Weld (non-EVO's). Eagle Alloy's are the cheapest too...

No promlem.

I recommend getting an offroad mag and looking through it for rims, there are a lot in there and have a lot of pics.

that seems to be the biggest problem for people on budgets and seeing stuff they really like and want but know they can't get it because they don't have the extra cash. once again thanks for all your help and advice.

Yeah, thats me. Budget limited, and I have to get 8-10", 40" tires, new rims, pinion roating shims, front/rear driveshafts, turbo parts, propane injection, hydro assist and shocks...I guess I dont have to, but I am...
