Question Replace Fuel Filter

Im wanting to change my fuel filter on my 02 Escape.
Ive changed plenty of them on my old Chevy truck but just wondering
if there are any things i should consider while changing it. But it shouldnt be too hard to do hopefully. I got a FRAM fuel filter to replace the excisting 1. Is this a good brand? thanks for any feed back

I suggest you unplug the fuse for fuel pump and start engine and run for few minutes to reduce the pressure on the fuel line before you replace the filters and yes is that you may get some fuel all over. So, take time and you will do fine. Good Luck!!!

Do you need any special tool to unplug the lines?

No you do not need to have special tool, just regular tool like screwdriver to get the clip off.

Make sure you get the right clips with the new filter. I did not do this and had to end up using the funky looking clips that were on the original. Pretty easy job though not much to it.
