351W oil pump priming problem
Just finished putting together a 351W for my 67 F100. We filled the engine with oil and began spinning the oil pump shaft clockwise with a 5/16 socket and extention on a drill motor. After spinning the shaft for 2 minutes or so, I still don't get any oil pressure at the gauge and there is no oil in the filter. The only thing that I can come up with is that I have a bad oil pump out of the box or I have to use the special priming shaft? Not sure.
