Has anyone successfully adapted a mid to late 80's Ford T.B.I. set up on a six?

Have been reading these threads for some time and no mention. Seems like a waste of time, as the stock multi-point EFI is already sorted out, and the computer controlled carb of the last carb'd engines is just about what TBI is all about. Carb and TBI share the same problems with the log manifold etc.

IMO, TBI = temporary technology.

Our intent is to trash the factory one barrel carb for a bit better set up. E.F.I. on a carbed 80's six is possible but the C.F.I. is a easier route.

A better, much easier setup would be an Offenhauser or Clifford intake with a Holley or Edelbrock 350-450CFM carb. Bolt on, out of the box, very highly regarded setup on this board.

EFI exhaust manifolds or aftermarket headers and a freeflowing exhaust would complement the upgraded intake very nicely.
