Hello everyone My name is Dan and I liked to be called Dan the ranchero man. I have two rancheros a 79 and a 74. both are 460/C6 powered trucks. The 79 I restored and have been crusing for over 12 years now and the 74 is a truck that I have had for over 20 but have just finished a frame off resto about a year ago. My wife and I will be looking for an early 70's ranchero to restore. It would be nice if I could find one with the 460/C6 powertrain.

 

70-73 rancheros would be sporting a 429/C6 set up (if factory installed) the 460 came out in 74 and was an option until 76. The 429 and the 460 are the same engine except for crankshafts and pistions (if you did not already know this). Good luck with your search. You could go on google search and type in Ranchero US and the ranchero US website should come up. That is a pretty good place to start if you want to find one and all the guys and gals are real nice folks! Take care Dan the ranchero man.
