Help, Looking for Chrome Trim piece.

Well I ruined a passenger side trim piece from my bed but I'm unable to find a replacement. It's strictly chrome with no black insert and does not surround the sidemaker. Any Suggestions?

Thanks,
Ryan

Cool

Do you have any pics so we can see exactly what you are talking about?

I think he mean ,It's the piece that runs down the full length of the right hand side part of the box

Or maybe it is the shorter piece that runs along the rocker panel of the box.

I know exactly the trim that you are referring to. My dad's '74 has this trim. It is like the Ranger and XLT moulding except it is narrower and doesn't have the rubber strip or surround the parking light. Not many trucks have this trim. My dad ordered his truck with it. I think it was a factory option on the Customs only as a dress up item. I haven't seen anybody reproduce it and very few trucks have it. My best guess is to check Ebay often as well as hitting some boneyards with older trucks. The only other option is to either do away with all the trim or take off all your narrow trim and swap over to the wider trim with the impact strip. Take a look under 1974 F100 4X2's in the gallery. See the orange F100 from VA? Is this the trim?

Same trim indeed. I'm now kicking myself in the rear for ruining it since I have come to find it very hard to replace. I agree my best bet is to frequently check E-bay and the junkyards. Thanks.

I have the piece you need. Actually, I have a couple. I was going to use it on my current restore, but I have found a complete set of the wide trim. PM me and I will get pics and stuff for you.

BTW, this trim was attached to a 1977 F-150 Custom, and a 1978 F-150 Ranger. I have not seen it to many times.
