painted body cladding 04 and up
I am wondering, how many of you guys have painted body cladding? I bought mine new with painted cladding. It is painted gray and is glossy in finish like from the factory. Am I the only one to have this. My truck was DX'd from Marnock Ford in NJ. It also came with the windows etched with VIN(at no charge). I thought that Ford changed to paint but when I have seen 05's they had plastic cladding. I am so confused it hurts. Help me understand.

You must have bought an Expedition XLT Sport, they have grey cladding and wheel lip mouldings; another difference is that the XLT Sports have tubular running bars, instead of regular running boards. So, if you have the XLT Sport, you will not have to worry about fading cladding. Hope this helps. K. Helms

I can't believe that had passed me by, but you're right. I bought an XLT sport. I need to change my signature now, OOPS. Why wouldn't they just paint them all then, since they DO have the technology to make the them better, faster, stronger. (weak 6 million dollar man reference).
