Well, I took an unexpected last minute decision vacation to Niagara Falls. Planned it all in about 2 hours! So if you are in the Niagara Falls area and see my 85 F-150 Flareside (red) with my ford-trucks.com sticker give me a honk and wave!
I will check in every once in a while on this crappy 28.8 K a second hotel internet connection! Got the room for a good price though! $99 for the first night and $139 for the second. If we stay Sunday night to we will get it for $80. That includes a queen size bed and jacuzzi!
Well, I got back today in the afternoon. We were supposed to get a bunch of snow so I had to get back to do some snow plowing. There is around 10 cm on the ground right now. So, it is probably a good thing I came back.
Hey Beast (and all others), When you check in (next time), ask for the Ministry of Health/government or Paramedic rate. It's usually cheaper, and they have never asked for ID (I've been doing it for years). If they do(and it hasn't happened to me, and I've only heard of it once), just tell them you forgot it and give them a 5 digit ID # (All paramedics in Ont. have a ID #). A buddy/co-worker of mine went travelling through Maine and did this. He got carded and he whipped out his green health card.
Is the gov/health discount bigger than the business discount? On my vacation out west we got the business discount everywhere we went, just showed them a business card. Usually was a 5-10% discount.
Depends on the hotel. I usually get 15-20 bucks off the regular rate (not sure of %). Your best bet is to call the hotel first, get the rates then book.
