need help
I have question on my rear d60
My Truck is a 77.5 F250 4x4 400m, np205, np435, d44 front and D60 rear (I Think).
I pulled the axel shaft out and counted a 16 spline shafts. I wasn't sure that i counted right so i took them to a mechanic and he counted and also said it was a 16 spline.
My Question is.
Did this come from factory like this or did someone swap in a 74 d60.
The reason i said 74 was people have told that ford used a 16 spline shafts in 1974 on d60. But i also heard that they did use them in 77 d60 rear but are not that common.
I wanting to swap out to 35 spline shafts and gears and also add a locker
If anybody knows please help.
