Wiper problem fixed
About a year ago my windshield wipers stopped working on anything but high. So I read some posts here and found some great information "the control module was the likely problem." SO... I went to ford to get a new one. But decided for 70 bucks I could live without it.
Just the other day I read another post that said all you have to do is take the module apart and fix all the broken solder joints on the circuit board. SO last night I took it apart, and sure enough there were a couple of broken joints. Fixed them up, put it all back together and the wiper work great. Time=2 hours (only because I couldn't find my iron and had to go buy another one) and $$$$= FREE
Another time I was trying to fix a broken tack. Someone here suggested I clean the sending unit off. Time ~5 minutes $$$$=0
