The other day I posted that I need a taillight for my wifes car and tried local salvage yards knowing it was not going to be a easy find. I asked on here if anyone knew of such a place on the net, and I received 3 addresses. I went to each and filled out the forms, the next day I received 1 reply stating they did not have them, but by the end of the week I was e-mailed 10 numbers across the country and each had the part the next week a couple more followed. Here is were it gets good, new the part cost $167 and I was e-mailed from the salvage yards a price from $65-$130 then came one for $35 + shipping I thought to myself yeah right well low and behold they thought they had it but did not but would recommend them to anyone they, get this, RETURNED my call and actually looked for the parts availability, but could not find one. As I was about to purchase the $65 one another e-mail came and they left a number to call well they wanted $35 including shipping but they said it had a small chip, no brainer send it. 5 days later the part is here the chip is small and as described well worth saving $132, it pays to look around. If anyone is looking for a part I would be more than happy to recommend these two salvage yards as I was more than surprised/ pleased at how they do business. Something funny is the places that priced the part at $100 acted like they were doing me a favor.
