how do i fix the orange needle in the gear selector. its the one that is
positioned on which gear you are in. which fuse is for that overhead
instrument thing on the lariats, it doesnt work, has to be a fuse? oh the
needle is ''slow'' when in park it shows its in reverse, when in od it shows
2nd. my truck is a 99.5 lariat 250 diesel just fyi.
Not 100% sure about this on newer trucks but you could take the cover off from around the steering shaft(between dash and steering wheel) on the old trucks and find the small cable that is ties the gear shift to the selector needle. It should have some sort of adjustment. Hope this helps.
If you pull off the dash cover and remove the gage unit, the shift selector it in the bottom of that unit and can be removed there, it comes out from the bottom of the unit toward the steering wheel
