I went through a water patch about 2-3 feet deep(a few times) with my stock hight 93 bronco and ever since then when I make rights it makes a sound. Its not the pump but the wheel it self, like its rubbing on something and it kind of vibrates. and also when I first start it up, on occasions it wants to die on me for no reason, i give it a little gas then its fine.. When I opened the hood afterword to see if the power steering pump was ok I noticed water dripping from the top of the hood and everything was wet so did i fry something electrical? any help at all would be much appreciated. thank you
check the power steering fluid making sure its full. may also need front bearings repacked.
as for the starting issue , may be time for a tune up. get new plugs,cap/rotor and new wires if your are old. i recommend plain autolite copper plugs, an ford 9mm wires if you need them. probably wouldnt hurt to change the fuel filter either
i did the same thing to my ranger and it sucked water in to the motor. So flush your motor and chage the oil. You probaly need to repack the barings like kemicalburns said. I also had a o2 senser go out.
ok, thanks guys.. I want to check my o2 sensor just incase, i have noticed my gas mileage went a little haywire, smells a little rich too, thanks for your replies!
