Intake manifold Help
I bought a 1980 Ford thunderbird For the 302 engine But after I pulled the motor I found out it was not a 302 but a 255
. My question is do they make a 4bbl intake for this motor? I bought a alum.intake of of ebay for a 302 but they are different. Thanks for any help!!

Intake manifold Help
My advice to you if to forget about that motor. Ford created the 255 or 4.2L v8 for emmisions and gas milage reasons but it was only used for 80' and 81' because of its poor design it was droped. It is a destroked 302 which already has a short 3.00" stroke. The 255 only made 145 peak horsepower,and barely more torque, the mustang ran 0-60 times in 15 seconds never mind a heavy pickup. Car Craft did an artical on the 10 worst engines of all time and the 255 was one of them. My advice it to find and early model 302 pre 73' or later than 82' for your truck.
