Stupid ?

This might be a stupid question, but here goes. Do any of the tuners Diablo, SCMT etc...able to just correct the speedometer and transmission shift points without adding additional HP or Torque? After reading up on the Banks issues I'm really gun shy about tweaking the engine. I simply want to make corrections for my 35" tires. I thought about getting the Tru-Speed, but i wanted to leave my options open in case I change my mind later. thanks in advance.

I have 315/75/16's (34.7 tall) and do nothing to correct the speed. I think Ford can even recalibrate your speed for this tire. If you want a custom tune for shifting, SC may be able to do this.

An SCT (Superchips Custom Tune) will do what you are looking for. But as mentioned above, a good tech at the dealer should be able to do it. Dont be scared of power!

you can adjust the truspeed for 2 different size tires so you can easly switch between the two. you can also adjust it at any time. you dont have one chance to set it.

The 6.0L diesels have a seperate computer for the speedometer, and the SCT software does not make adjustments to this computer, and cannot recalibrate the speedometer on the 6.0Ls.

Not yet anyway.

Right, but the shift points can be adjusted as needed depending upon tire size.

Are you guys tuning for the 6.0 with the SCT now? I heard Eldreth got you guys setup for it... any idea when you will have it ready? I'll be glad when you do, you did a great job with the SCT for the Taurus I purchased.

Yes, we have been doing it for about a month now.

I speak with Eric and Jon several times a week, there aren't many SCT dealers doing diesel stuff yet, so we all rely on each other to learn new things. I'm personal friends with both those guys and Jerry@SCT so I've had a little help getting up to speed on it fast. We all deal in the Mustang scene together as well!

I'm VERY pleased to hear that. I do get the feeling, that with the way things are headed now (and with many dealers in cooperation) that SCT will soon take the tuning market for these trucks over. As soon as the FICM programming is available, I would say fuel boxes will be a thing of the past.

Any release date on the CAN-bus compatible Raptors yet?
