Header ????s
So I'm just curious if any of you have any first hand knowledge of the Thorely Tri Y headers being even more torque oriented than standard full length headers.
I am very performance oriented and am planning to replace my fresh 357ci short block with a 418 in the next year or so. The heads I currently have were intended for a 408+ but some things killed the stroker plan temporarily.
So, I'm thinking my current 357 would benefit from better headers than the shorties and a stroker would really benefit more.
I have seen the efi 460 truck headers and noticed how the drivers side collector part of the header points to the passenger side like the factory head pipe does. I need that routeing with my 4x4. So I am going to either modify Tri Y's or standard full length headers to do this, add the egr fitting on the pass side (#1 cylinder) primary tube, add O2 sensor locations, etc.
I just need to know which header would really be the best to start with for my application. Then once I mod them they'll be totally made for the app.
