Need help with brake problem

I have an '87 F250, 300 CID. Recently, it is taking a whole lot more leg effort to get it to stop. The brakes are as good as ever (very good), but I'm having to push on the pedal much harder than normal. I've done the tests on the power-assist unit that are in the manual. Checked vacuum, etc., and everything checks out okay. Where do I go from here?

Any help or hints will be appreciated--

Have you visually inspected the lines for damage. One of the steel lines may have gotten flattened. The rubber lines can collapse internally. The only way to check them is to bleed the brakes and take note if any of the wheels require more peddle effort than the others. These are the places I would start. Good luck.
