Bucket seats

Were the high back buckets with an armrest on each side a rare option?? Ive seen a few with the low backs and a few high backs,, but none with the two armrests.

Both my 88 and 89 Eddie Bauers came with the two armed seats. Now that I've wrecked the 88 my 79 sports a stylin' pair of dual arm rest seats!

I didn't know that they even made them with two arms, I always thought that the armrest on the door served as the other one.

Wouldn't an arm on the outside of the chair interfere with the seatbelt, or be some sort of safety hazard that the government would frown on; not to mention making it hard to get in and out of the truck? You'd have to constantly lift the thing up and down every time you got in or out.

I have a 79 bronco with high back and arm rest on both sides. and on a long trip the outside armrest is really nice.

Mine doesn't get in the way of the seatbelt. I use it mostly on longer trips, but when you're offroading it kind if locks you into the seat side to side so you're not banging against the door. The outside one took some getting used to ... but it's like tilt steering. Once you're used to getting in adjusting the steering wheel, getting out lifting the steering wheel -> you do it without really thinking about it. I like mine way better than those without.

My 80 is a XLT and it has the High back seats with duel arm rest. Yes it can get in the way when buckling the seat belt, it gets cought on the back of the arm rest when you pull it down.
