air filter

My 2005 F250SD just turned 4,000 miles and the "check air filter" light has come on, the filter looks o.k. How long should the filter last? This seems kind of soon.

How long it last depends solely on driving conditions, one who runs off road in sand will have much less service time then city driving!
What are your conditions you drive in?

As Tim said... depends...
Mine was switched out at about 40K miles...
99% highway - very little dusty conditions...

course, it could be "foolin" u and not need changing...

Did the air filter minder on the back to the air filter break off like mine did ? (three times

)
