You have to remove the transmission and flywheel. Then you can buy on of those cheap slide hammer dent pullers down at AutoZone. Drill two small holes dead center of the rubber lip 180 degrees apart, preferably side to side instead of up and down for clearance for the slide hammer. Thread in the provided sheet metal screws and give a couple of good whacks on one side, then give a couple on the other side. No need to be gentile. Give a good strong throw of the slide weight. Its in there pretty good.

Installation is where you want to be gentle and carefull. I coat the outer mating surface with a little RTV and I coat the inside seal lip with grease or motor honey. As long as it is not put on dry it will be fine. You will need to find an object that is near the same diameter as the seal for use as a driver. The seal MUST be knocked in evenly. I used something crazy like a roll of masking tape and a section of 2 by 4. Anything you come up with will work as long as you have a way of getting a good center whack with a good heavy hammer.

To me the worst part of this job is pulling the transmission. The rest is easy. Oh dont forget to support the rear of the engine when you pull the tranny.

Hope this helps. Post if you have any questions.
