I am currently trying to restore my 1979 F100 Longbed. It currently has a 302 with a Edlebrock intake/carb. I just installed a HEI GM style distrubutor in hopes of getting rid of all the wires i have that are astrue. I also ditched the voltage regulator and the ignition box. I believe the transmission is a C6. (not sure it is or not) Also the rear end is a mystery to me ive searched for the axle code but mine is not listed. Well this is just a little hitory of the truck heres the questions i have.
- What kind of axle/rearend do i have in my truck?
- What kind of transmission do i have?
- How do i set up a one wire distrubutor to the original distributor, alternator, ignition switch, starter solenoid and anything else thats starting related.
- Im making a custom dash how should i wire toggles to use my headlights, park lights, windshield wipers?
- Any and all information on my vehicle as well

build sheet from ford.
To find your build sheet there are numerous places it could be:
Under the seat
Under the carpet
or
Take the headliner down and feel around up in there
