Do the handheld flash tuners like the DiabloSport Predator and the SCT Xcalibrator write over the entire flash PROM? Or do they just update selected data addresses?
If it rewrites the entire PROM, then I can't see how it would be detectable by Ford as long as you flash the original program back on. Also, this would mean that a tune made by one brand can be loaded by the other tool.
I'm guessing these tools just rewrite select addresses but can anyone shed more light on this?
