How can I lean out the mixture?
I have an '85 150 with a 351 four barrel carb. It runs rich, I can smell it and it will load up while waiting for a long light. Is there an idle mixture screw on this? If so were could I find it and which way would I turn it?

the first thing to check is that your choke is open and not pulling shut. second my manual says there is an adjusting screw but it doesn't say or show where. they are usally in the base plate of the carb and the setting it calls for is to back it off 1 1/2 turns after you bottom the screw out.

You probably have a holley 4 bbl, and the power valve may be leaking causing it to run rich. You might as well get the carb rebuilt while you are changing the power valve.
