Superchips / Predator on 5.4

Superchips / Predator on 5.4
Anyone done a Superchips or Predator on their 5.4. I've got a buddy who's considering it. I bought a Predator for my PSD, but can't advise him on the 5.4 version. Any precautions on the 5.4 like bigger exhaust & what not?

My buddy and I did a Superchips programer, KN FIPK-II, MAS air spacer and Dynomax cat back exhaust system at one time on his 01 5.4. He says it made a huge change in the way it pulls his trailer. I tried to find the thread that went with this to link you to but its lost in the superduty section. His name was something like Electricbluesman. Anyway, he uses the Superchip program for super unleaded, as gas is so high now whats a few more nickles :] We also did a 4" lift and this coming weekend he is getting 35" tires on it. He loves the new and improved 5.4, but he does say that normal driving is barely noticeable that there was a change...its when he gets the trailer on it and makes the same trip he always did and he notices very quick how much easier it starts out and how much faster he can pull the hills. You will never get the 5.4 to be a race truck, it will never run like a V-10 or for sure never work like a PSD, but yes, you can improve on what you have. If you were just going to buy it today...buy the PSD...or at least the V-10. Have fun, and God bless.
