Talking Rusted gate

To tell you the truth, by thge time you take the gate off, strip it down, cut, fabricate and weld new metal to fix the rusted pieces, you will probably have spent 30-40 hours repairing it. I bought a new tailgate from Jeffs Bronco Graveyard for $250 + $25 freight. Took 1 afternoon to swap it over. So it doesnt rust out EVER , apply a coat of bedliner to the inside while everything is out of the gate. This also has the benefit of deadening any noise coming through the gate.

Good Luck!

I think what your looking to do is something I have already done. Honestly it will cost you more time and money than its worth if your looking to have a long term, good looking gate. If you want a quick fix, it was cheaper for me, but I will be putting a new gate on soon. Heres some pictures of what I did. http://www.supermotors.org/registry/...=22784#content
