7.3 PSD Trouble codes and affects
HI ALL:Maybe one of you can shed some light on some problems that I am having with my 99 sd 4x4.I have only had it a month and all was great,even though it has 230,000 miles on her she runs great.It had two codes in it when I got it.The first one is P1249 and the other is P0603.Can anyone tell me what they are?Yesterday when I went to start it the wait to start light,service engine light and od light on the shifter were all blinking and the glow plugs werent warming up.After turning the key on and off several times they warmed up enough to start and all was fine,Started it several times and it worked fine.Today it started fine but 3 miles down the road (at 40 mph) the rpms dropped to idle and the service engine light and wait to start lights came on,just for about 5 seconds and then went back to normal and the speed did to.Would the codes that are in it cause this?
Has any one else had this happen to them ? And what did you find wrong with it.
