Dan from Woodbridge. Blue Scabb, where in town are you? Wondering if I've seen your truck before?
I am off of Main St and sad to say glad christmas is over, traffic around here sucks. The out of town shoppers are learning our secret back roads, no matter which way I went, I would sit in traffic. I recently just got my first truck and I am new to this site. I imagine your truck is lifted, what color is it?
My truck is a 2002 f250 DSG. Its lifted 10.5" with 38". I have family back where you live and my fiance lives in colonia so I'm riding up around rte35 and chain-o-hills constantly. I live in menlo park terrace. Thanx for the welcome.
What is it getting humped into? Where in colonia are you?
I'm taking out the tranny to put in a new clutch, then pushing it back in place. The problem I'm facing is it's much heavier than I anticipated, and I'm trying to balance it on a homemade sub-frame I made that rests on a floor jack.
You know, dive into something and planning it as you go
Right off New Dover, couple blocks from the golf course that lies against 27.

Frederic, when are you planning on working on it? I'm pretty jambed up the next
couple of days with stuff with the kids, but I might be able to get an hour or so.
One of my kids goes to BGA so I'm over there all the time.
frederic, did you ever try a motorcycle lift? They are pretty handy. Small enough to slide under most trucks and usually able to hold about 1000#. It gives a flat serface instead of a balancing act. And some have four wheels so you can slide it back with the trans on it.
With my focusing on not breaking the rigid hydraulic line, I had forgotten to remove the flywheel cover bolts at the bottom of the bell housing. So I was able to wiggle things, but couldn't pull it out more than about 1/4" I'd guess.
Dummy me!
Anyway, started putting things back together... have the new throwout bearing in, and tomorrow I'll finish removing the old clutch/pressure plate and see what turning of the flywheel I have to do. I have access to a friend's lathe so that will make the job cheap and easier.
