Another Extreme 4x4 "Statement Vehicle"

Here's another, even more outrageous than the International.

Regardless, this is a very useful truck, believe it or not!

This is simply a military LMTV painted nice and pretty and licensed for road use. The LMTV is an incredibly capable truck that'll go almost anywhere....but you'd probably need a CDL to drive the thing, I bet. The curb weight on those things is over 17000 lbs, and I'm not sure what the max gross weight is.

They're not bad on the inside, but riding in the back of one for miles really sucks!

If you can keep the GVWR under 26,000 and boost the brakes with vacuum or hydraulic power, don't use air brakes, it will be legal without a CDL.

Personally, I'm not so rich and vain that I can spend six figures to "make a statement." If I needed a heavy duty rig for offroad construction work (a friend is just getting going on a half megawatt hydro project out in the boonies), I'd consider the truck.

Do you need a CDL to drive anything with air brakes, or just trucks over a certain curb weight with air brakes?

If I was insanely rich, I'd probaby get one to drive across the million acres I'd own
