Funny sounds while towing

Have a new 05 SD F250 6.0L. When towing up hill, have noticed some peculiar sounds that sound like it is on drivers side under the hood. It always happens when tach is ~ 1800 RPM and speed is ~ 55MPH. The sound is like a clucking sound that occurs about 1 a second or so (clunck - clunk - clunk...). If I give her a little more throtle, it down shifts and sound goes away. Makes no difference if in tow haul or not.

First time it happened pulled over and looked all over, couldn't see anything out of the ordinary.

Any ideas, suggestions?
