Getting a lift.
I have a 88 F-150, 4x4 ext cab, long box. I got the truck about 1 year ago. I noticed that the leaf springs and shocks all need to be replaced. I was thinking that while I was at it, putting a lift kit on would not be much extra work. Could anybody tell me what I would need to put a suspension lift on? I was thinking either a 2 or 4 inch. I have no idea what the gears are (assuming what was on when bought). I don't want to replace the tires as they are fairly new (31x10.50R15).
My desire is to make the vehicle more agressive looking as well as add some clearance for occasional off-roading, currently the vehicle only has about 10-12 inch clearance (approx). I would like to stay away from any re-gearing if possible, so in a nutshell what are my capabilities?
Any input is much appreciated!
