Problems with Remote start
I had a dealer install a Ford Gold Remote in my 2000 F-350 Diesel everything is now working except for one thing. When it is cold it will only try to start it once If I press the key to shut the system and restart the process it will usually start the second or third time. I have taken it to the dealer but it will always start because it's warm by the time I get there. Is there a way to stop the truck from starting so the dealer can work on the problem . Like pulling a fuse or disconneting a wire like you can on a gasser.

Has the dealer programmed the starter to start using the tach wire or are they just using a set crank time. On my system there is tach or tachless start. When I first installed mine I had it in tachless start, which cranked for 2-3 seconds, on cold mornings it would not catch the first time. I reprogrammed for tach start, which cranks until tach signal is recieved and it works great now.
