Edge Attitude A2

Does any know a price of this when it comes out in June? If its not over 500 or so I will hold off an the Attitude and get the A2. It has one feature that would help me out greatly, it has a wireless camera that you can mount on your trailer or bumper. If any hasn't read about this go here: www.edgeproducts.com

Trucks did a show on the Edge. Tuner, GPS, and camera link. No price was mentioned.

Now you can go fast, get lost in syle and see where you have been..

Being a gadget kind of guy, I LIKE IT!

However, a currently "cheap" GPS navigation unit, with FULL US map coverage can't be bought for $500. Nice and robust GPS nav systems are $1000 plus.

Therefore, I don't see this unit being priced below a grand. There are just too many neat things about the A2 that will allow them to charge what the market will bear, and I see it bearing more like $1500. (Unless they would have an option to buy a unit with some of the functionality removed.)

However, I have been wrong in the past, and will be wrong in the future, and THAT FACT, I am sure of!

I have never used a GPS. Now from seeing the unit on ( Trucks TV ) I would think the display area is small. Nothing was mentioned if the power supply for the camera that you plug into the trailer wiring harness was of a pass through design.

Bummer if I have to switch to my reading glasses to see the display functions and when you tow a trailer if the camera power supply has to be removed. Just my thoughts.

I wish I knew a price. I to love my gadgets but the A2 will be a little repetitive for for me as I already have a rear camera and Nav. in my Pioneer AVIC-N1. I love the rest of the features though and the rear camera is an option, although the camera being wireless allows you to put it on the back of your trailer which would be cool.

I have used many GPS gadgets, being an electronic technician in the Navy. Some are hard to see (especially while driving) but I am guessing this will probably sport a color screen which makes deciphering between different land masses a lot easier. I too am anxious to find out the price but I am with dsweger about the price being closer to $1500.
