I know this has been hashed back and forth. But, the manual says "change" the transmission fluid--not, "drain and refill." To me, change, unless modified in some way means "completely change." I don't see how one could partially change a fluid unless the procedure was indicated as "drain and refill." Seems a drain and refill may be adequate if performed every 10k miles, but if one does that, might as well do the flush every 30k miles.
I know some hereon and on other sites are proponents of "the manual says to change means drain and refill only." But I don't think that is the correct interpretation. Just food for thought. I am going to ask my dealer what their interpretation is--though, I am a little skeptical about answers I get from them on occassion (they do good work, but I can't expect them to know it all).
I hope McDonald's isn't just draining and refilling the fryer vat instead of changing the grease as the manual says--I'd hate it if my fries weren't up to spec!
