hey rangerdave. Ilive up in north fl right near the suawannee river. Im in orlando though mon/fridays and some saturdays. Theres a pretty good gathering up here in dixie county the first weekend of each month. About a thousand trucks or more i would say. A place called ocean pond here. Just around the corner from home here so its convient for me. Would like to know to if there's someplace in orlando to drop a tailgate. Maybe in bithlo or samsula maybe..
On state road 50 there is a place called capworld in Orlando. They did my bedrug. They can do a lot with trucks. I would start there. I am either in Orlando or with my girlfriend in Palm Bay. I would hope there would be a get together some time in Orlando in the future
Hey folks. I am currently in West Palm Beach, but I am moving to Leesburg within a week or so; will definately be there by August 1st.
I do not have my truck with me yet; it is still in Canada, but I hope to be getting it down here by the end of the year. ('76 F150 XLT Supercab Trailer Special 460)
I'd still like to meet up with Ford truck folks! I like anything Ford. I even have some tools with me if anyone needs help some time. I am into performance mods. I have a slightly modified Tempo that is my daily driver! haha. It is still fun.

Welcome to Central Florida
Nice to have someone not far from me to talk trucks with and get advise and help working on my truck. Looking forward to a meet up sometime
You bet! Everytime I am in Leesburg, I always see some cool old Fords. I'm not sure if you drive a newer or older Ford, as my knowledge is primarily 73-79 trucks... But I have owned a '95 F150 with 4.9 and 5 speed. Really doesn't matter to me, as long as it has the Ford name!
West palm sucks as far as meeting up with Ford folk. No one seems to be interested in their vehicles here, as far as fixing them up. Even though, it looks like a lot of people work on their own cars here, which I haven't seen much of before. I was always the only guy on the block to be working on my cars! haha
I will post back here after the move, when I am back online again. What other vehicles you got? I am also into bikes, Ford muscle cars, etc...

I only have a 2003 ford ranger edge. I would love an old mustang to fiddle with. Maybe eventually I will do that. I am not very knowledgable about cars but I am going to learn and work on my truck. Keep in touch, maybe we will meet up sometime
I just finished helping a friend restore a 66 Mustang coupe. We had the 200 six rebuilt, and we had to practically rebuilt the whole body with new skins, due to rust, and the last guy's poor work. I modified the car to use a 1985 or so Mercury Capri 4 speed overdrive transmission (came off a 200 cid). The original was gone; It was a Dagenham 3 speed, I think. It took some fab work for the clutch linkage, since it was a cable instead of Z bar linkage. I also cut the hole in the tunnel a little offset for the new turret shifter, and welded-in the unnused portion of the hole, so the factory boot and trim would fit again. The only other mod I did was to change the trans crossmember so it brought the trans down away from the tunnel (very tight fit if left alone).
Is this what you consider an 'old' Mustang, or are you thinking '80's? Those are cool too..
Nothin' wrong with the Rangers! I would love to get an older one and throw in a 5.0 EFI, or maybe a 2.3 turbo.

Black, I live close to the old Gator Harley Davidson dealership, off 441. Where abouts are you?
I gotta warn you guys, I am a Ford FREAK, so don't expect me to admire your ride if you pull up in a chebbie! LOL
My wife just ended up with a Buick Regal Gran Sport; BUT, 11 years old, mint, and 27,000 miles, we couldn't pass it up for the price (a STEAL!) Little old lady, literally, 84 years young and can't stand driving in South FL.
Please forgive me! Hope to trade in on another Ford.
I have my '90 Tempo here, and my other Fords and Mercs are still in Canada. Especially missing my trucks!
