Hello All,

I ran across this website last night when I was looking for information. Anyway, to make a long story short, I went to Woodhouse Ford in Blair, NE this morning to buy a F150 4x4 and came home with a V10 F250 4x4 supercrew w/shortbox. And boy am I happy I did. It rekindled memories back in the early 70's when I owned a couple of new F250's. I knew I just wouldn't be satified with a F150 (no disrespect to the F150 owners), I am just more of a 250 guy you could say. I'm really super happy with my pickup and happy to have found this site.

Now you want to hear a funny twist on my purchase. I had planned to purchase the 150 because of size. Anyway, measure the garage and got home with the 250 and after having my wife watch careful, I now have 2 inches ahead of the front bumper and about 3 inches behind the rear bumper. How's that for tight. My first accessory was a tennis ball mounted on the ceiling I have to be careful for the rest of the life of the 250. One lurch from the engine and it's sitting in my den!

Good job!!!!!!!!! Welcome to FTE!!!!! You made a wise choice on the V10, One heck of a engine. I am surprised that you had roof clearance as well. Just becareful with the addictions of Mod's and such.....before you know it you will not fit in the garage. Well mine is two years old and spent.....lets see.........wheels.....tires.....sound system........diamond plate in the bed.......billet door and tailgate handles........oh yeah the Banks powerpack complete stem to sturn exhaust and going back and forth between the cheap way out and get a tuner or SUPERCHARGE IT.....And my next thing is a 4.5" lift but that might get expensive because I only have a 3.73LS rear end and I think I will need the 4.30LS to keep the pulling power.....

Good Luck and Congrats

It has the camper package, but I see nowhere in the 250 brochure/pamphlet where it lists a towing package like the 150. As you recall, with the 150 towing package, you get a bigger radiator, transmission oil cooler, heavy duty battery, wiring harness, and heavy duty alternator. What does the 250 have that is similar, or does having the V10 give you bigger radiator, alternator, battery, etc? Or does the camper package include in addition to the springs, etc also include the above? I'm just a little confused between models/packages. Thanks for your help!

In my 03' I got the tow package it came with same radiator as the others. It came with both tranny and engine oil coolers. The tow package is a option.....if that's you sticker you dont have it. You will be able to tell by looking through the front grille. If you have room between the radiator and the grille no tow package.......if there are two radiators....well actually 3 radiators that are about 1/2" from the grille....well tow package.......you do have the camper package which I believe comes with a rear sway bar and a higher GVW 9600# my F250 is 88 or 8900#

Question Trailer Towing Package

Something don't seem right here. I have a 2005 F-250 on order by the way. I just went to the "Ford Build & Price" site and every kind of F-250 I could come up with has listed in "Standard Equipment", "Trailer Towing Package". I think you should have it and it's just not listed. ? I can't find out yet what all the "Trailer Towing Package" includes.

Towing Package

All super dutys have the trailer towing package as standard equipment. It is listed on the window sticker under "standard equipment". As far as I know, it only consists of the trailer connector under the rear bumper.
