2x4 to 4x4 conversion question

Hi,
I was just wondering if someone could tell me if you have to use the axle pivot brackets off of the 4x4, or if the the 2x4 units are the same thing...

You can take 2 2x4s and nail them together to get a 4x4. It doesn't really matter if they are treated or pine etc.

LOL, thanks for the tip, rlh....I thought they looked like the same damn thing when I compared the two (but was too damn lazy to get under there and scrape off all the crud.....thanks, fellas
