Need help diagnosing this...

I have an '05 PSD Excursion. When the truck gets warm, I notice that if I give it a bunch of gas and get the tach around 2000 RPM and then come off the gas, I get a sound that sounds a bit like "Scuff, scuff, scuff" coming from somewhere up front. I notice it most when I'm driving about 40-50 MPH.

I know I'm not describing it too well, but any ideas?

that would probably be a turbo sneeze or snort if you prefer. It is just the excess pressure in the intake manifold bleeding back thru the turbo.

Thanks! It's my first time with both a turbo and a diesel, so I'm getting used to a new variety of sounds.
