Exhaust Flutter

I Have 01 Super Duty And Was Going To Remove Stock Muffler. But Will It Make It Sound Like S##t? Ie Exhaust Flutter Etc?

Yep - you'll get a certain amount of flutter - but you will also hear the turbo whine WAY better. It all depends on what you like - I love the sound of a straight piped PSD - and with stacks - they sound even better!!! You could always disconnect your exhaust before the muffler, and see what you think of the new sound - that way if you don't like it - you could just hook it back up without a problem!

If you send me your email address I could send you a sound clip that someone sent me when I was considering cut the muffler off. After listening to the clip I did remove the muffler.

I was mad after I put my 4-inch exhaust on, sounds like poo compared to the straight pipe IMHO.

Yep - I went on vacation about a month after I put my stacks on - (about an 8 hour drive). I thought the noise might be too much for the family, so I put a muffler on it just for the trip and HATED every minute of it. Like 77hiboy said - sounded like POOO!! Muffler went flying out the back door of the shop an hour after we got home, and I haven't looked back. STRAIGHT PIPE all the way for me!!
