I have conflicting info. about what size tires I can fit under my stock 96 bronco. Would 33's rub or will I be OK.Or should I stay safe w/32's I wont be able to get my 6" lift under way for awhile due to being broke so I would at least like to get some decent rubber under it.
Thanks for your help.
Sandy
I ran 31's on my '96. 33's will fit and if you never go off road or exercise the suspension you can move the bumper forward an inch or so and probably have clearance. You are going to have to deal with snow in NJ and that in an of itself may not cause any suspension travel that will affect the clearance. Take care to check the clearance on your radius arms. A lot of wider tires will rub them. You can very easily get a leveling kit for the front coil springs and it will make a difference and look very good.
Sandy,
I just put a picture of my '96 in my gallery. It has options mentioned. See what you think. It has no additional lift kit installed. Tires were not big enough for most to like, but I worked it just like my F250, selling lumber and building materials. Anyway, take a look.
Thats a sweet 96, bet your kickin yourself for lettin it go. Are they 33's? If so I dont think ill have a problem. Im also having trouble finding a leveling kit for the front end, any connections I should check out.
Thanks, Sandy
They're 31" tires. I never had any clearance issue or radius arm issue with them. I tried some 33's on the front to see what they would do. They slightly touched the bumper and radius arm. Just kept 31" s on her. And yes, selling her was one of my more idiotic acts. But, the builider who bought her buys almost a million a year from my company so it's not all bad.
