blower head selection
hi all,.
I am currently building in the process of building a blown 460, The heads on my 460 at the Moment are D0VE-C, I have been told by a friend who has a Blown BB,64 Galaxie that I need to run Open chamber heads to lower the comp/Ratio, Ideally 8:1. Im hoping I can get away with just changing the heads and running a low boost as Im just after a wkend cruizer not anything too HiPo as I have a budget to stick to. I have just brought some open chamber heads D2VE-A2A but then read on a website that these heads are prone to Detenation and unsuitable for HiPerf applications because of poor quench area?? Has anybody used these heads for Blower applications with good results?? B.T.W Im using a GM 6.71 and twin Boost referanced 650s
