Question Flats

While on the way to work today I saw 3 vehicles on the side of the road with flats. Which got me thinking, hey, I’ve never owned a Dually, and I’ve never known anyone that has owned a Dually. So my question: If the inside tire goes flat, can I safely continue on for a reasonable distance with the outside tire still working properly? How far? And I would not be towing nor hauling anything. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

Thanks in advance everyone!<o></o>

No way jose'!!! The "alligator" of the tire will fly off and bust the fiber glass wheel well. One of my employees had this happen to them. However i dont know if the new superduties still use fiberglass on the rear wheel well.

Hope this helps.

I'm sure you can get the truck off the road and go some distance if you go slow. It sure beats trying to get off the road with a single and wrecking the rim.

You also have another option - singling out the dual. This would depend on the load and distance you need to go.
