i went to replace my motorcraft 2150 of my 75 and i noticed they are different types of 2150's the one i saw had a thin metal strip on the back to increase idle when warm and another had this thing built into the air horn attached the the choke where can i just get the right one for the 75 model year
My '75 360 had just the basic Motorcraft 2150. Heat tube choke, no evaporative emissions provisions, just the PCV port and a port for the egr and distributor advance. A 390 should be the same.
Is the metal tag still on the front? If so just use the numbers to match the ones at the parts store. If the tag is gone I guess it's just a matter of matching them up. I think my number was something like D5EA-AEA. I have the carb down it the shed somewhere still sitting on the intake. I'll try to take a look tomorrow.
