in cab tank conversion?
my friend has a 77 f-250 highboy that has the in-cab gas tank. is there a kit made to convert a truck like this so that the gas tank is in the rear. the truck is missing the original bed and the guy who put a bed on it put a bed on it from a truck with a gas tank in the rear. how would he go about putting a tank in the rear and getting rid of the in cab tank.

I have a highboy as well. I found a tank off a 78-79 4x4 and its just a matter of mounting it in the back with straps usually. However, on my frame anywya, the rear cross members are in wrong places, so they have to be moved. I am making new tank straps as well. You will also need to lengthen the fuel line, as well as the sending unit wires (Ground and the Feed wire to the gauge). Since you have a tank with a filler hole in it, just need the filler neck and some fuel hose. DONT USE radiator Hose. Gas will eat it and your in a situation where you cant fill your tank.. or at the least it'll leak.. hope this helps!!
