which holley?

i have the 351 h.o. with a factory holley 600 on it in my 85, i just scored a deal on two brand new holleys in the box. one is a 830 cfm race double pumper with mechanical secondaries, the other is the new 870 cfm street avenger with vaccum secondaries. i am going to jet down the one i end up using to 66 primary jets. which one would be the best for a daily driver weekend mudder truck? it has a high rise, mild cam, headers, big valve high compression heads, msd ignition and more

I would say the street avenger would be best, the double pumper 850 is probly for a 460 and is tipically a race carb.

Ive got a pair of stock sway bars I pulled off the Bronco yesterday. They are in perfect condition, brackets, bolts, and bushings included. Flat out trade, ill pull them out from the bush where I threw them if you like.

But in all seriousness, I would go for the street avenger as well.

God, I need a new carb........

those are both realy big carbs for the 351 even with jetting them down. but it won't hurt anything to try one if you wish.

Talking

yeah i think the avenger is the ticket for this bronco. i had a 780 double pump with mech. secondaries on my built 302 cobra with 351 h.o. heads and it worked great jetted down for the street, that was a light car that had no problem winding out and lighting the tires without hesitation. the bronco is a little heavier! lol! any one need a new 830 cfm race carb for that mudder bronco? 300.00 is what i paid and trades are happily considered, tell me what you got! oh! by the way! this carb was dyno tested on a 383 stroker motor pushing over 400 horse so its all good!
