Quick Question...
Hi,
BestBuy here in Canada has JBL 10" subs for $80US ($100CAD) until stores close tonight. I think I should buy 2. Now they are 250W RMS @ 4ohm. Do I acquire a mono amp that's rated for 500W RMS @ 4ohm to run 2 of these subs??
Or do I acquire a 250W RMS @ 4ohm to run both?
I've been struggling with this problem. Thank you dearly if you can help me before Best Buy closes tonight.

It depends on how you want to wire them up. If you wire them in parallel the amp will see a 2 ohm load but each speaker can still dissipate the 250 W.
You could use a 2 channel amp that puts out 250 W x 2 @ 4 ohms, but you don't really need 2 channels for bass.
So your best bet is a mono amp that puts out 500 Watts RMS @ 2 ohm and wire them in parallel.
